Concentrated horsetail extract (corresponding to 1000mg horsetail herb) is a source of natural silicon - a mineral that is found in significant amounts in hair and nails.Silicon affects the strength and appearance of the hair.Sulfuric aminos (cysteine and methionine) form "sulphide bridges", responsible for the structure and strength of hair and nails. PABA is an amino acid that helps maintain proper condition of hair and nails. Wheat germs and millet extracts contain essential fatty acids, phytoestrogens and phytosterols that nourish the hair bulbs, the dermis and the nail matrix, where the cell breaks and the growth of hair and nails. Biotin and zinc are essential for maintaining proper condition of the hair, and niacin helps to condition the skin. Copper is responsible for proper pigmentation of hair and skin. Vitamin B5 and zinc play a role in the metabolism of sex hormones that affect the hair follicles. Vitamin C enables the production of collagen in the skin, and vitamin B6 - cysteine, the main component of hair and nail keratin.
